The articale says that the censored version contains a close-up of the female zombie's face. Can somebody prove this? Because the censored one I saw had completely different cover art.

Song Origins[edit]

While it is known at this point that the song 'Entrails Ripped From A Virgin's Cunt' is based on a true story, but what story exactly is the song based on? Can anyone find any names for the story Barnes was talking about in the Decibel Magazine interview?

Author[edit]

Who wrote the music for Hammer smashed face song?..

  • Chris Barnes wrote and composed every song from Butchered at Birth to the Bleeding. SAlpsu 02:39, 22 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Hard to believe...
    • I actually misread when someone said Chris Barnes wrote the lyrics to all those songs. I don't have a source, but my guess is Alex Webster. SAlpsu 02:49, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re-write[edit]

Like many of the Cannibal Corpse-related pages, this is full of POV and original research, and contains no citations to reliable sources. For the record the tombofthemutilated fan forum does not constitute a reliable source. I'm excising much of the article. Blackmetalbaz (talk) 15:24, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Grindcore?[edit]

May I ask what makes this album grindcore of any sort?

This album should really be listed with death metal as a primary genre and brutal death metal as a secondary.

Sorry for the late reply (I dosen`t read this talk page).
Album Tomb of the Mutilated - sound very much different from the sound of, say, a more contemporary albums (I mean, for example, Kill). The speed of this album is higher than that of conventional album, even brutal death metal, and the sepulchral voice of Chris Bruns rather give the album an atmosphere grindcore than death metal. In other words, this album is a genre deathgrind, but not brutal death metal. Deatgrind different from the brutal death metal, this is not quite the same. That's paint on the genre of grindcore (minor) and death metal (primary). 92.113.237.211 (talk) 21:05, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
On the album sounds similar to the traditional grindcore, certainly not on the texts (most of pornogrind). However, it is the complexity of execution of death metal. 92.113.237.211 (talk) 21:10, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Was never banned in Germany[edit]

The album was never "banned" in Germany just "indexed" - that's roughly comparable with an "Adults Only" rating. It still can be sold to 18+ but no advertising in public (where minors could see it) allowed.Van Kroenen (talk) 00:39, 8 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
