Failed GA[edit]

As of 21 October 2006, I am making a speedy failing for this article to reach Good Article status, per WP:WIAGA, because of the following fatal reason: This article is totally unsourced. Please provide your reliable sources according to WP:CITE to support the three pillars of Wikipedia: neutral point of view, no element of original research and verifiable. I've put a template in this article for editors to fill in their references. Please do not consider it as discouraging. Furthermore, because this article has a subject of a living person, please conform it with WP:BLP guidelines. If all of those matters above have been fixed, this article can be renominate it again. Cheers. — Indon (reply) — 13:37, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Back to GA nomination[edit]

Failed GA[edit]

This article fails in several areas. Please don't be discouraged. You can rewrite it an resubmit it at a later date. Some observations:

  • Neutral point of view? No The article sings this individual's praises with every breath:
    • "Tommy", as he is fondly called
    • He not only excelled in the realm of public service but practically in all his endeavors.
    • Coming from a family where politics and leadership is a natural dominion, his management and leadership skills were honed at a very young age.
    • He also became the moral fiber of numerous activities and programs
    • ...he took the challenge of bringing Cebu to its grandeur (Note this is NPOV about Cebu; not about the politician himself. Who says it has "grandeur"?)
  • Well-written? This needs help too. Several sections read like lists of items of events.
  • Verifiable? No. Several important statements are uncited.

I hope you will go back to the drawing board and rewrite this. Good luck with future nominations.--Ling.Nut 21:24, 19 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
