Marvel Comics' Policy on Late Comics[edit]

The article included unsourced speculation as to why Marvel does not adopt DC Comics policy of using fill-in artists and "filler" issues. The article speculated that this decision was made to appease late creators; there is no evidence that this is the actual reason behind Marvel's policy. The offending text has been removed.--Swkehoe 04:47, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article referred to above was reverted. I have modified the statement on late comics to make it clear that the conclusions drawn are those of outside pundits, not Brevoort. Two citation needed notes have been added as well.--Swkehoe 15:18, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism? Requesting citation on sources in "vandalism?" Deleting unsourced speculation on a company's motives is "vandalism?" I descibed my changes above, I even signed my name to them. A little courtesy would be nice. --Swkehoe 14:57, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think the article as-is describes Tom Brevoort in a reasonable and fair way. Creators and fans have long regarded Brevoort as one of the best editors at Marvel - the one who knows the characters and the stories the best, and always takes them into consideration on his projects - and certainly the most interactive of them outside of Joe Quesada. So to only show criticism isn't just unbalanced, it's not even a reflection on the truth. I expect some will see my addition as vandalism, but it's as true, as insightful and as ridiculous as the two paragraphs preceding it and I hope it will lead the way toward a better article.MultipleTom 15:50, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Even after that deletion, this article still has some serious NPOV issues.Chunky Rice 19:18, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
