To do[edit]

Need to extend article beyond appointment at Hatti and cover the Barbary wars and his involvement there. Also, I think he was married at third time during the Barbary wars to another Washington niece also nicknamed Fanny. (Zacks 2005) WilliamKF 16:37, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Editorial questions/comments[edit]

- How could he have remarried Fanny when there is no mention of him being married to her previously?

He married for a second time to a different woman. Text updated to clarify this. WilliamKF 20:42, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

- I would also like to know why the citations were not done in a footnote format. I think the article would have a better flow if a number was included instead of 'Zacks 2005'.

Added footnotes to harvard references for readability. WilliamKF 20:48, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

- I'm not sure that the article should have that many divisons. It's not very long, but it has thirteen sections (and I've read articles with more content having fewer sections).

- Where did the data come from that appeared on Wikipedia's Main page today (re: specific letters between Washington and Jefferson being destroyed); I don't remember reading that in the article itself (but this is just out of curiosity).

See section on Tobias Lear#Missing Washington papers and following section on Tobias Lear#Jefferson as ally. WilliamKF 20:48, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

- This seems to stop suddenly, so is there going to be any information about the end of his life?

Yes, needs to be continued. WilliamKF 20:48, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What I'd like to do is find online resources that can be used to help edit this article, because I don't feel comfortable making any changes without the primary source in hand. SailorAlphaCentauri 16:54, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your library probably has the Zacks 2005 book or audio version of it. WilliamKF 20:48, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
