Mnetha[edit]

The article states that "Mnetha" is an anagram of "Athena". Strictly speaking this is not true, so it would take a pretty good reason to assert this identification. Can anybody cite a source on this one?

June 23 edits[edit]

As you can see, I've done an overhaul on the article. The basic info that was already there is still there, I've just added to it. There's not much point in me going into every little thing I did, as it's all there to see, but major changes included the addition of a new picture, a (small) section on critical interpretation, and info on how the poem connects to Blake's later mythological system. The synopsis may be a tad long, but I'm rubbish at writing deent short plot summaries, so apologies about that! As always, I welcome feedback. Bertaut (talk) 00:45, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

October 24 edits[edit]

I just bolstered the whole thing out; especially the sections relating to Blake's mythology, and I added a number of relevant quotations from other poems. Added a couple of new critical references as well. Bertaut (talk) 19:01, 24 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributions are appreciated as always. I haven't had time to read it over closely but it looks good from skimming it. The only thing that sticks out at me is the title. Both Tiriel (the character) and Tiriel (Blake) (the poem) are Blake's. Wouldn't the more sensible title for this page be Tiriel (poem)? Also, the note at the top of the page is getting rather long. A disambiguation page might be nice. These are just little picky things, though. Lithoderm 21:55, 24 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, thanks for the feedback. Funny you should mention that thing with the title. I spent about an hour today trying to figure out how to switch the two titles so that Tiriel linked to the poem and Tiriel (Blake) to the character, but I couldn't make any real headway with it, so I just left it. I'm glad I'm not the only one who dislikes the current titles, so I agree with you 100%, changing this page to Tiriel (poem) is probably the way to go. As for the disambiguation page, I'll get right on that once we've finalised the naming issue. Good call. Bertaut (talk) 00:34, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
