I have tested tinsel wire for an application where cables were failing routinely when made from stranded copper wire. The tinsel wire I tested was far more durable and only failed when I severely abused it by rotating a fixed section of wire 360-degrees hundreds of times over a 1/16" length. The assertions of high durability were certainly verified for me.
