Deleted sister city[edit]

The Amman-San Francisco sister city relationship of 2010 was recently deleted from the timeline, as "not really notable." Why not notable? Explanation would be appreciated. Thanks. -- M2545 (talk) 17:18, 23 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@M2545: There are tens of sister city agreement with Amman, why would we include them in timeline? Or why would we only include San Francisco? Makeandtoss (talk) 21:49, 23 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hello @Makeandtoss: Most articles in Wikipedia for major cities such as Amman include a section on "international relations" or "sister cities," so it seems reasonable to include also in the city history timeline. Amman has a variety of agreements (friendship, sister, etc) which would be specified in the timeline. The US city was just a start. In any case, at present Amman's timeline contains minimal content; I hope it will be expanded with events from the realms of culture, politics, infrastructure, etc. -- M2545 (talk) 22:38, 23 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Amman article does have that section, so why have it here too...Makeandtoss (talk) 22:45, 23 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The city changes year by year. It is interesting/informative to see the chronological sequence of events. -- M2545 (talk) 23:07, 23 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It might be just redundant. Makeandtoss (talk) 23:40, 23 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
