"He also turns off the time-freezing device."[edit]

I'd edit the article myself, but I don't know whether my edits would conflict with the citation.

Cmdr. Straker doesn't simply "switch off" the time-freezing device. He's been told by Turner that the device is hidden in the cabinet of some piece of electronic equipment in the bunker, but he does not know which one. So, he goes there with a wrecking bar, and starts indiscriminently smashing things. He also happens to be amped up on a drug that he took to counter the effects of the "time freeze." When he smashes the correct cabinet, the crew suddenly come to life, see him running amok, and subdue him.

The story actually is told as a flashback. It begins with him appearing in the bunker smashing stuff. They overpower him, strap him to a hospital bed, and sedate him. After he recovers from both the anti-time-freeze drug and the sedative, he is then able to recount his story.
