Kathleen's 5th maternity leave and the campaign that ensued[edit]

@CeltBrowne: did great work on this article in March 2020. However, I think there is a bit of a mistake in relation to this topic. I have added a Hansard House of Commons entry to the citations which fits in in any case. But it seems from Birrell's answer to John Dillon, where he is certainly referring to the case, (NB he talks of Dillon mentioning ONE lady to him) that where the article currently states that Kathleen arranged for a substitute teacher ( which is what she was supposed to do) and was fined, what actually happened was that she could not find a substitute and stayed at school though she was supposed to take leave and she was not paid her salary for her work in that period. Remember, the baby had died and she would not be needing to care for a new infant. I don't know if the mistake is CeltBrowne's or the book chapter on which he based it, but I feel like changing it. Ideally, I suppose I should check the book's sources. Aineireland (talk) 20:30, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
