Roles

I've added Entrusted and Feather Boy to selected filmography because he has leading roles in those TV movies/series. Those are the ones that show him off as an actor Dmitriid 13:32, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

Characterist?

What is a "characterist"? Doug Nelson 21:41, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

There is no such thing as a characterist, thank you for pointing that out. Maybe it's someone's daft way of saying actor. Don't know what to replace it with though... Lradrama 08:41, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

How about with "actor"?

Start

So, I've finally created this page. I'd like this page to include a photograph, and some more detailed personal information. If anyone can help out that's very much appreciated.

I have added a photo +screen from Enrtrusted.

New Picture

Isn't it about time for a new picture of Thomas? The current one is a couple of years old, and since it was taken he's hit puberty and grown a bit —Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.239.243.14 (talk) 01:33, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

A replacement photo would need to be equally freely licensed. Wikimedia Commons doesn't appear to have any other photos to choose from, nor does Flickr at this time ([1]). — pd_THOR | =/\= | 15:49, 3 July 2010 (UTC)

Photo

I'm a bit confused as to why there is a photo of him at the film premiere of Stormbreaker. This seems odd considering his career has never noted him with a performance in the film. Also in that photo only taken in 2006 he looks incredibly young. In that photo he would have been seventeen but looks more like ten. 83.104.51.181 (talk) 18:24, 18 April 2009 (UTC)

I can't help you with why he looks young. However, it is worth noting that most of the people at a movie's premiere were not in the film. Yes, the cast and crew of the film are typically there, but others (wishing to see and be seen) are invited and attend. - SummerPhD (talk) 14:12, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
Actually, in July, 2006, he would have been 16. Does anyone have a (non-copyrighted) more current photo to put in the infobox? The one that is there could appear later in the article. Peter Chastain (talk) 05:33, 3 January 2012 (UTC)

Sourcing

I have again removed bith info (birth name, date and location) sourced to IMDb. Most content on IMDb is user generated and, therefore, not reliable (the sole exception is some screenwriting credits). This article is a biography of a living person. Much as we should not have an article if no reliable sources can be found, we should not have information which cannot be found in reliable sources. - SummerPhD (talk) 16:02, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

The birth index, whose info is taken from official birth certificates, proves his full name, and that he was born in the London Borough of Southwark. Births in England and Wales have to be registered in the area they take place in. Biographies 1 (talk) 03:35, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
The birth index establishes that someone named "Thomas Sangster" with this Thomas Sangster's mother's maiden name was born around that time. I'll grant that it's likely the same person. However, you used it to source 16 May 1990. The index says only that the birth was registered in June 1990. I've reduced the birth date to 1990 on the assumption that this is the same person and the birth was registered within 6 months. - SummerPhD (talk) 15:16, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
SummerPhD I think that for you all souces(99%) is not reliable.--62.192.231.151 (talk) 15:18, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
If you want a quick explanation of "reliable" in this context, the Reliable Sources policy is very good. Cheers, This flag once was redpropagandadeeds 15:21, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
IMDb is not 99% of all sources. It is one unreliable source. The birth index is a reliable source, it just doesn't say what it was cited as saying. - SummerPhD (talk) 18:05, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
Unofficial fan sites are never reliable sources for anything. MovieTome was a wiki-like project and is therefore not a reliable source. If any of these surprise you, please take a moment to review WP:RS. - SummerPhD (talk) 01:30, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
But all sources says that Thomas Sangster born in May 16! There is no alternative opinion! Why are you think that this can be lie?--62.192.231.151 (talk) 12:46, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
No one thinks it's a lie: we think it's not referenced by a reliable source. Until there is a decent reference the only acceptable alternative is to leave the date of birth empty. There is no hurry to include this information, after all. Cheers, This flag once was redpropagandadeeds 12:55, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
Additionally, since most of the sites are user edited (there was one fan site), it is quite likely that they are all based on each other and/or Wikipedia. Someone puts a random date in one (for whatever reason: as a joke, based on a half remembered interview, it's a mistake, whatever). The next one looks for the info, finds the first one and uses that, and so on. Soon, because there is no correct info out there, the wrong date is everywhere. To prevent Wikipedia from repeating the possibly wrong date, we demand reliable soruces. After all of the searching you've done, you haven't found one. Where do you think the other sites got their info from? Heck, some of them probably got it here! (Incidentally, if you have a registered account and edit without signing in to avoid being blocked for adding unsourced material, we can run a check user and block the registered account and the IP range you edit from. Please don't.) - SummerPhD (talk) 15:37, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
I do agree with some issues around here but I do find that it might be possible that Thomas was born in May 1990. Therefore, this is 99% correct. :) Roundingdown (talk) 04:53, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
Without a reliable source, there is nothing to discuss. - SummerPhD (talk) 13:04, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
There is a proof in his twitter account, saying his birthday is on 16th May 1990. 219.74.197.90 (talk) 04:14, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
Removing twitter source - since the account isn't verified, it could be anybody (unlike, for example, Stephen Fry, who has an official account that is verified, which is thus a reliable, genuine source). Also, basic observation shows inconsistencies; assuming he is 21, it would mean he was cast in a child's role at the age of 15 (in Nanny McPhee). - Infernal Yoghurt (talk) 16:53, 25 February 2012 (UTC)

Surname

Where has "Brodie-" come from? Presumably not his father or mother. Was this his name at birth? Martinevans123 (talk) 17:20, 19 February 2015 (UTC)

According to IMBD which is already linked at the bottom. The date of birth should be edited to May 16, 1990. 107.179.140.168 (talk) 05:56, 2 November 2015 (UTC)

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. IMDb is not a reliable source. Sam Sailor Talk! 09:33, 2 November 2015 (UTC)
