Talmudic?[edit]

The reference to the earliest appearance of the 13 attributes includes The Guide for the Perplexed from the late 1100s CE, and Midrash Halakhah. The reference to Midrash Halakhah is only to the book, not to the chapter and section or the authority cited. This is not Talmudic. You need to find the place in either the Jerusalem or the Babylonian Talmud that states it. Just because the authority in Midrash also is quoted in Talmud doesn't make it Talmudic. I don't hold with Jewish Encyclopedia being an ultimate source because of this kind of slipshod terminology.
