Lije Evans vs. Tadlock[edit]

First of all, from my memory, the former senator is named Tadlock, not Tudlock. It has been a few years since I read the book, but my memory is not that bad. I will confirm this later; for now it is an FYI.

Secondly, the summary on this page makes it sound as though Tadlock is the main character and protagonist, while Elijah Evans is a secondary character/antagonist. This could not be further from the truth. The story focuses mainly on Lije Evans, his wife, and his son, Brownie. The character of Tadlock actually stands in opposition to Evans, and is written as a very unlikeable character, very much unlike the rest of the rural, lower-class settlers.

I am at work, and unable to do searches and detailed edits at the moment, but I will come back to this later. In the meantime, if anyone else wants to expand the articles authenticity, please do so. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.43.89.134 (talk) 17:07, 22 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]
