I've tidied up this article, but it has no references at all - the only reference in this version of the article does not mention the book, which is the subject of this article, at all. From an on-line search, I didn't find any significant reviews that might satisfy WP:NBOOK, but I found a lot of trivial mentions - given the age of the book, and the number of times it seems to crop up in articles about baseball, I'd be surprised if it wasn't notable - perhaps someone familiar with the source material in this area might be able to access some print sources from the time when the book was published that would demonstrate notability?
