the red baron in star wars?[edit]

in the pop culture section about video-games, it says the Red Baron was mentioned in star wars x-wing squadron. How can that be? Star wars doesn't take place in our universe. If it's a homage, shouldn't that be mentioned?

I was going to comment on that, too. It just says "Star Wars X-Wing Saga" with no explanation of what the reference actually is, and there is no obvious explanation. I'm going to go ahead and remove it and if someone has a problem, they can add it back, with explanation quite easily. 68.181.241.67 (talk) 18:22, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:RedBaronLogo.jpg[edit]

Image:RedBaronLogo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Transformers Toy[edit]

There is a Transformers toy coming out soon that is a Red Baron themed redeco of a previously released Albatros D.III biplane mold.[1] Is that worth mentioning? If it is, what section would it go under? So far the character hasn't appeared in any fiction in his biplane form. He has only appeared as such in toy form. --119.224.50.85 (talk) 21:20, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Song references and bands[edit]

Um, it's not "Hey Hey Snoopy" by The McCoys, it's "Hang On Sloopy," and it has nothing to do with Manfred von Richthofen or The Red Baron. This is a good example of a Mondegreen, but unless you want to make mention of that, I suggest this entry be removed. CatalinaThePirate (talk) 03:43, 3 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

LEGO Red Baron[edit]

Much like the Red Baron-themed Transformer, there was also a Red Baron LEGO Set, the 10024 Red Baron. I don't know where this should go, but maybe there should be a Red Baron Toy section to include all of the Red Baron themed toys and Red Baron influenced toys. --ThePlaneFan (talk) 23:36, 15 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Bugs bunny cartoon[edit]

Yosemite Sam in the cartoon Dumb Patrol is an obvious reference to the Red Baron. He's also mentioned in the film the cartoon was named after, The Dawn Patrol. 128.233.4.254 (talk) 22:44, 24 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Red Baron was not in "Flyboys"[edit]

In the movie flyboys, the red baron was never in it. His tri plane had no other picture other then the German Cross, and the charcther in the film is called Franz Wolfert) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.246.3.168 (talk) 18:40, 16 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
