Mcintosh's picture should be on her own article not on one of her trilogy's. Plus, the book covers should be on the books' own articles. Jamhaw 20:39, 21 February 2007 (UTC)jamahw[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Bridgeofsoulscover.jpg[edit]

Image:Bridgeofsoulscover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Image copyright problem with Image:McIntosh - Myrren's Gift Coverart.png[edit]

The image Image:McIntosh - Myrren's Gift Coverart.png is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --04:01, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The call for resources[edit]

I'm putting the call for sources, information and media concerning The Quickening (series). This is the 1st step in the process, and the goal is GA (referred as a Good Article) for this page and all sub-pages, in the 1st quarter of 2009 (the end of January 2009 is a good date).

Please don't edit this page, it needs re-organization. I'll update when the main page is ready for inserts. Use the talk page, and there might be a draft page for a sandbox.

The article(s) will be formatted in the likes of other series, as The Lord of the Rings, The Farseer Trilogy and others. You are invited to visit those pages, I shall take those as examples in renovating this page and I offer for you to do the same. Those formats hold a lot of information, which is where we come in and write a lot of good information about the series. I'm asking for your help since I can't work here full-time (who does?) but I offer myself as a coordinator and a contributor for this page. So, what we need is sources, information about the books and author, and ideas for other things that can be done.

Best of luck. Colpitz (talk) 13:15, 25 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Renovation Project[edit]

As part of the renovation project, editing discussion should be in this section.

Starting with my suggested index:

  1. Synopsis
    1. Book1
    2. Book2
    3. Book3
  2. Concept
    1. Background
    2. Uses of magic
    3. Similar works
  3. Characters
  4. References
  5. External Links

I will update the article while writing the texts.I'll add The Riftwar Saga as another example, in structure if not in content.
