"Soft" science fiction?[edit]

The book is a police procedural, with some elements of conspiracy theories and apocalypse, but it is "hard science fiction" in that, as the article states. the described asteroid and its predicted effects are correct. As for it being "soft" because it deals with soft sciences of sociology or psychology, none of the characters I remember were professional or amateur social scientists, just policemen, a pathologist, junkies, crooks, and random characters. So i suggest we just call it "science fiction," unless there are reliable sources (not personal blogs or mirrors of Wikipedia) calling it "soft" science fiction. Fine. i had classified it that way from a misunderstanding of the concept, since it was more of a character-driven story than one driven by the underlying science. Daniel Case (talk) 14:40, 7 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
