Untitled[edit]

I've found new information regarding The Great Snow of 1717. See below:

A news item published in The Boston News-Letter on Monday February 25, 1717 reads: “Besides several Snows, we had a great one on Monday the 18th Currant, and on Wednesday the 20th it begun to Snow about Noon, and continued Snowing till Friday the 22nd, so that the Snow lies in some parts of the Streets about Six foot high. Saturday last was a clear Sun shine, not a cloud to be seen till towards evening. And the Lords-Day, the 24th a deep Snow.”—Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.30.252.133 (talkcontribs)

Remember though, that they used the Julian Calendar back then. Those dates correspond to the dates in the article.-RunningOnBrains 01:04, 4 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
