Language issues[edit]

I find it incredible that the article can totally ignore the interesting language issues in the poem, a Lothian "Inglis" speaker vs a Carrick (Lowland) "Erisch" speaker.--MacRusgail (talk) 18:48, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

See the page on Walter Kennedy which begins to touch on this, though I agree, more needs done. strangtea (talk) 22:55, 24 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Date?[edit]

Can we please include the date(s) / period in the intro. Otherwise hard to put in context. --Mais oui! (talk) 13:16, 23 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Peter Morgan 23:14, 8 November 2016 (UTC) I agree. A dating of the work, even an approximation. Is an important missing element in the article, since there are two references of importance In the article itself. They include the first paragraph, which refers to the work as one of the earliest examples (so, prove this key statement). And later, in the INFLUENCE section, where the claim is made of its effect on the subsequent "two centuries." Which two centuries? — Preceding unsigned comment added by ElectraShore (talkcontribs)
