Contents / track listing discrepancies??[edit]

Most sources I've been able to find agree that the tracks listed under 'x' below are included in the original album release and were all recorded at the same 14 December 1952 recording session in NYC by the trio of Phillips, Rich and Hank Jones. Some sources - including the very thorough and presumably reliable "jazzdisco.org" list the songs of 'y' below as making up the remainder of the album's tracks (although not necessarily in the below order). One Japanese source / blog however, indicates the remainder of the album contains the 'z' tracks below instead of the 'y' contents. All 'z' tracks are from the (previously released?) album, Flip Phillips Quartet (Mercury MG25023 and Clef MGC 105). This Japanese source provides a fairly thorough examination of (at least one actual LP pressing of?) The Flip Phillips Buddy Rich Trio and points out the apparent discrepency / error in the track listing / labeling - unfortunately this source's discussion is all in Japanese which I can only poorly read/understand but photos are provided showing the labels of both sides (A and B) as well as the front and rear album covers. This source appears to suggest that (upon listening / verification) the actual contents of the album are the tracks of 'x' and 'z' (in the below order) and maintains the LP's printed labels have jumbled the track order and the album rear cover is in error as it lists the 'y' tracks instead of the 'z' tracks as side 'A' (thus contradicting the disk's side 'A' labeling inside). This could be a one-time only (Japanese only?) disk pressing / labeling error or it could be the album's actual contents as manufactured and released.

If anyone has any confirmation evidence / source regarding a possible mis-labeling of the contents of this album, please add that info to the article or comment here.
