Watercooler comments?[edit]

In Reception, it says that the most common water cooler comments about the show are that it's "really stupid". I may be missing something but isn't that a POV? Don't be harsh, I'm a newcomer.Bokiniki (talk) 22:14, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Implications[edit]

A few implications have been made, including:

  • Orwell is the daughter of Peter Fleming.
    • Fleming speaks with Marty Voyt about the search for his daughter.
    • Gregor Molotov speaks about Orwell's "daddy issues".
    • A shot of Fleming's daughter's music box smash cuts to Orwell doing acrobatics.
  • Peter Fleming and Chess are separate personalities.
    • Fleming and Chess are shown opposite each other, with Fleming resisting Chess's temptation.

They are both fairly obvious, but we might need a source to confirm them. Has anyone talked about the implications, perhaps in reviews of the show? --Boycool (talk) 01:18, 20 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Why?[edit]

Does anybody know why this show was canceled?~74.163.16.27~-Tailsman6767 of Sonic News Network and others —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.163.16.27 (talk) 00:49, 24 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm just spitballin', but maybe it's because the average number of viewers was 5.69 million, and the series was critically panned. Chuck was canceled after the second season, even though it had an average of 1 million more viewers and overwhelmingly positive reviews. --Boycool (talk) 14:41, 24 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I call poppycock, Park & Recreations got less views during its second/third season and moving onto a fourth. I blame it on the reviews.mcnichoj (talk) 19:51, 9 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

hatnote disagreement[edit]

The Cape (1996 TV series) has a hatnote redirecting readers here. A similar hat note was added to this article per WP:SIMILAR. That hatnote has been removed several times with explanation "The year in the article's title sufficiently disambiguates the article". The purpose of Wikipedia:Hatnotes is to help readers find their way, not to disambiguate. Some readers may not be aware that there is another TV series by the same title and get a bit confused if they land on the article specific to the opposite year they were expecting. The hatnote helps bring this to their attention and helps them find their way, especially given how different the subject mater between the two series.--RadioFan (talk) 13:03, 13 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

See Wikipedia:Hatnote#Disambiguating article names that are not ambiguous. This type of hatnote is more appropriate for something like Wilfred (TV series), which is often confused with Wilfred (U.S. TV series). However, a hatnote doesn't need to be at Wilfred (U.S. TV series), because someone looking for the Australian series would not have found the article about the U.S. series first. Notice that The Amazing Spider-Man (2012 film) and The Amazing Spider-Man (1977 film) don't have hatnotes. Most people would first search The Cape, which has both of the shows listed. Since there are fifteen years between the two shows called The Cape, I doubt they would easily confused. --Boycool (talk) 14:52, 13 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough. There is still a concern that readers may hit either page looking for a TV series and get a bit lost. the article title disambiguated to include the year is enough to clue in an experience Wikipedia user but not enough for others. An {{other}} hat note referring them back to the dab page will take care of that--RadioFan (talk) 18:12, 13 August 2011 (UTC).[reply]
Okey dokey. --Boycool (talk) 00:24, 14 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
