Spelling

The Baron is elsewhere (also in Wikipedia) called Münchhausen, or Muenchhausen, or Munchhausen; spelling with a single "h" is not original.

The movie, however, is definitely The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, with one h and no umlaut. —Paul A 08:39, 3 Oct 2003 (UTC)

Possible Link to Katamari Damacy?

I heard that Robin Williams' character is very similar to The King of All Cosmos from Katamari Damacy. Is it possible that this film inspired the design of this game? Although I've never seen the film, I do know that there's a very strong Terry Gilliam influence in Katamari Damacy's cut scenes. They often seem as though they were lifted straight from a Monty Python cartoon! M.Neko

So, what is the film actually about? Synopsis please! pomegranate 11:31, Jan 3, 2005 (UTC)

Numbers!

"absurdly over budget" just begs for some numbers - surely they're somewhere? --Andrew 05:31, May 13, 2005 (UTC)

Images

This article has far too many un-needed screenshots. This is a problem partly because fair-use copyright laws expect images to be used in moderation and on an as-needed basis, but more importantly because they are unnecessary and make the article look unprofessional: do we really need images scrolling down the page for three times the length of the article?

I'd recommend that one or two images are chosen, and the rest have the image deletion template, {{ifd}}, put on them. Otherwise someone else, like me, will do the deletion tagging and won't know which images ought to be kept. Asbestos 17:46, 13 January 2006 (UTC)

Robin Williams

It's funny that the DVD box doesn't mention Robin Williams at all; maybe a contractual thing. AnonMoos 03:21, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Williams didn't get a credit at all (the screen credit for King of the Moon reads "Ray D. Tutto", based on the King of the Moon's adopted title of "Re di Tutto". Lee M 01:18, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
For the usual reasons (working off Actors Equity, fees, etc.) Williams wasn't credited by name, but chose "Ray D. Tutto" from the Italian "Re di tutto", King of Everything, which his character believes himself to be ("I think, therefore you is", he tells the Baron). Plot summary

The plot summary was tagged as oversized, so I've replaced it with a briefer version from an older revision [1]. --Tony Sidaway 22:26, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

Blanking Disaster section.

The Disaster section listed some opinions given in the book Losing the Light: Terry Gilliam and the Munchausen Saga along with an attempt to counter these claims based on data in the now defunct Wikipedia page "List of U.S. and Canadian box office bombs". I removed the counter claims since they were OR and using Wikipedia as a source. But I didn't wish to remove just one side of the argument and leave the article with POV issues. I therefore blanked the entire section but would not object if it were re-added with better researched arguments on both sides.--RDBury (talk) 18:46, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
