Planning to expand this stub as my next project.

So far I've just added a quick link on the disambiguation page.

son's defection?[edit]

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/southamerica/falklandislands/8578438/Falklands-heros-son-becomes-Argentine.html — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.21.79.136 (talk) 23:44, 17 June 2011 (UTC) This is a valid point as it shows the development of the relationship. This senrtance " Terry Peck's son James, became the first Falkland islander to choose Argentine citizenship and was issued his national identity card by President Fernandez, during a ceremony to mark the 29th anniversary of the end of the Falklands War." backed up with this ref http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-13803111. I am disappointing it was removed because rv irrelevant and tangential to the topic - and incorrect to boot Poor Alex Betts is ignored these days he was one of the first)[reply]

OK not this first but still important & highly relevant

No its not, its tangential to the topic and per WP:NOTNEWS its not that important either. Its not a defection and if you look at the story behind the headlines, he took Argentine citizenship to avoid hassle over access to his children from Argentine officials. Nor was he the first as claimed. Your edit was to insert information tangential to the topic, it was one sided and POV and misrepresented the facts. Sorry you're disappointed. WP:NOTNEWS is irrelevant in this case as the additional fact refers, the main event person is hadrly notable but the contradictory is. Even if this isn't the case mad addition is more information yours is less. I'm sorry that you're blinkered to thisSteve Bowen (talk) 13:50, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
WP:NOTNEWS is highly relevant for such a contrived event and Terry Peck is notable for his actions as a police officer, for which he was decorated, for his actions during the war, for which he was decorated, his role in SAMA etc. The information you added was tangential, incorrect and irrelevant to the topic. If you feel James Peck (Artist) is notable, the redlink is there. I would however suggest you find out about the topic before you accuse others of being blinkered. If you're simply looking for an argument you'll be disappointed. Have a nice day now. Wee Curry Monster talk 18:17, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
[1] See the article to the left, noting the guy's position is very different from that portrayed in your edit. Ciao. Wee Curry Monster talk 09:36, 27 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
