What a mess![edit]

The guys who are working on his father (Achaemenes) think his father was imaginary! If he was imaginary how did he make him? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Achaemenes Kiumars 11:49, 8 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Capture of Elam[edit]

It seems he captured Elam in 646 BC, as said in the book, From Cyrus to Alexander, p. 17, then second submission after 834 BC? is the submission of Cyrus I to the Assyrians, he sends his son Arukku as a hostage, just a minor note.--Amerana (talk) 03:09, 25 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Persian?[edit]

Might be a good idea to actually mention somewhere in the article that Teispes has something to do with Persia? Anyone no familiar with Persian history will ask himself: who the hell are all these people? Where are these places? Who was Cyrus the great? Etc. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.254.215.2 (talk) 03:26, 6 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Persian name[edit]

Since he is a persian, we should write the persian version of his name first. Then we can write the greek one. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Arsaces (talkcontribs) 11:56, 2 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
