It doesn't appear that there's anything available online in English about tea pets outside of blogs and shops for tea accessories, neither of which are particularly useful for fulfilling WP:RS. There might be stuff available in Chinese, though (starting with the two articles linked in the External Links section, which aren't actually cited in the body of the article. As far as I can make out, the Chinese for "tea pet" used in the sina.com article is "茶宠", but that hasn't helped me find anything else in English. It might be more helpful to Chinese-speakers, though? Caeciliusinhorto (talk) 11:08, 18 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
To editor Caeciliusinhorto: Good points. Searching for information on the Chinese tea ceremony in general might help. Also, did you try Google Books? I think the first thing a native Chinese speaker could do would be to find out if there are any tea pet articles in the Chinese WP or even in languages of related cultures.
