"fortunate enough to be highly educated, intellectual people who had been widely exposed to Western culture and civilization."

Nice bigotry there!--213.42.2.11 (talk) 14:18, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I also wanted to add that this entire article reeks of self promotion. Look at this "What Others Say" section for example.--213.42.2.11 (talk) 14:22, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

“Having discovered that there is no equivalent in the Arabic language, classical or colloquial, for the word “compromise”, Just wanted to note that this is not true, as are most statements that "such-and-such language has no word for ____" توفيق and تسوية both mean "compromise," "agreement," "coming to an understanding," blah blah blah. توفيق is common both in Classical and Colloquial, I heard it all the time when I lived in Egypt. One of my professor even spent 20 minutes discussing it! This sounds like a Lewis-ism, who claims Arabic also has no "real" word for revolution. The debate listed as debate vs. Tariq Ramadan is not a real debate. It's only a one sided commentary by Tarek Heggy over some of Ramadan's quotes. Please make that clear. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.176.205.186 (talk) 09:16, 23 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
