garbage edits by User:Pharmdmsn[edit]

This user insists on adding shona grammatical information onto this page, and with top billing. It's not useful, it's not well-written, and I will continue to revert it as it appears. Chris (クリス • フィッチ) (talk) 16:30, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

pharmdmsn continues adding this poorly written, unencyclopedic, long-winded, unsourced, bulky how-to, without so much as a notable example of this last name. It doesn't belong here. Chris (クリス • フィッチ) (talk) 17:10, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Third opinion[edit]

This page is a disambiguation page and as such should contain a list of links to other articles that explain each of the ambiguous terms. If there is such a use of Tanaka within the Shona language of Zimbabwe then that term must also be included as a link to the article about it; ie: a link to Tanaka (Shona language). This should be done by Pharmdms (talk · contribs). It is wrong for the lead section of Tanaka to contain this information. fr33kman -s- 18:11, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The information Pharmdms was adding was simply grammatical information about the a word in the Shona language. IMO, this does not deserve its own article and would be better suited in the Wiktionary instead. This article can then link to word's article in Wiktionary. --TorsodogTalk 19:01, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Probably, but I thought that it would be a good idea to let them try and create an article about the Zimbabwean usage if they have the references for its use there. If they do provide simply a definition, then we can add a {{Copy to wiktionary}} tag to it and take care of it that way. If it is a common 'name' in Zimbabwe, then it deserves to have an article here on Wikipedia as much as any use of Tanaka in the Japanese language does. If it is such a common name in the Shona language then there will probably be notable people with it as a name. fr33kman -s- 20:07, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. The problem is that there were no references and I wasn't really sure if he was saying Takana is a name or simply a word. I originally started to try to edit it and clean it up, but it was so poorly written I didn't even know where to begin. --TorsodogTalk 20:36, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Agree, it was poor. That's why I gave him/her a link. If there's no action in a week, we'll undo it all. :-) fr33kman -s- 21:10, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think that it's obvious that WP:V is not going to be forthcoming; I've undone the edits. Pharmdmsn, if you wish to re-add them and have reliable sources for verification then please do re-add them. If you've no sources, please leave it as is until you do. Thank you! :-) fr33kman -s- 19:52, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tanaka is both a Shona name and word more dominantly used as a name instead. It is Bi-sexual and can be defined as a single word for a collective group agreeing to have met the average contentness hence the word Tanaka(......<ash>) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.182.15.90 (talk) 06:34, 28 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Airsoft gun manufacturer?[edit]

Isn't there a company called Tanaka that makes airsoft pellet guns? --24.21.148.155 (talk) 04:55, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
