Etymology[edit]

According to my sources (Miller and Taube) tamoanchan has a Mayan (Wastek) language etymology, not Nahuatl. Anybody have the reference claiming a Nahuatl origin?--cjllw | TALK 11:09, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tree section[edit]

Not quite sure what the recently added 'Tree' section is trying to convey. Presume this refers to the Mesoamerican world tree? If so, maybe the material is better off at that article...? Seems to be a selection of quotes from various 16thC MSS. like Bautista de Pomar's Romances de los señores de la Nueva España and the Cantares mexicanos, as collated in Garibay K.'s poesia vols.
