TALIPARAMBA PRAVASI ASSOICATION (TAPAS) VISIT WWW.TAPASUAE.COM A Socio-Cultural Organization of people from Taliparamba Kannur in Kerala, India. It was a beginning on Nov 2008 when a handful of individuals with similar ideas and common interests joined together and founded TAPAS as a socio-cultural organization in UAE with the intention of upholding our values, International relationship and goodwill.

TAPAS, as laid down in its constitution, are a non-profitable, non-sectarian, non-political organization with wide plans to expand the visibility across the globe. We invite people who are born or related to Taliparamba to come up and establish the UNITS of TAPAS in your respective city. All the activities of TAPAS are controlled and regulated by an Advisory Board which is represented by the founders of TAPAS. How ever elected executive body and validated by the general body annually will manage the overall running of the organization to achieve the objectives of TAPAS.

Today, TAPAS has earned the respect of the entire community by winning the hearts of people, as the best Pravasi Organization and positioned itself high in the society. This achievement is earned through the dedicated and unrelenting activities of not only of the 250 member families, but scores of TAPASIANS living across the globe and in India by participating in TAPAS's activities for the human society around the world. Also to mention is the participation of numerous dignitaries and personalities who cooperated with TAPAS by sharing the stages at various occasions. TAPAS's services to the society have grown into diverse fields. In the educational field TAPAS conducts classes for SELF DEVELOPMENT SEMINARS and WORKSHOPS, and planning to establish an Educational Trust in Kerala soon– the first of its kind amongst Pravasi Diaspora.

In the cultural field, TAPAS is also in the process of organizing the biggest Pravasi festival in TALIPARAMBA every year. This can help people to demonstrate variety cultural stage shows regularly. Watch our events for knowing more in detail.

In the social field, TAPAS has contributed to Charity activities in UAE & Kerala by investing into various projects and helping during natural calamites, and help people to get employed in Gulf Countries. You are encouraged to contact us for donating, and we assure complete visibility of such donations how & where those donations are utilized

We have helped more than 35 people by providing employment in the gulf region. Watch always our Job offer sections to know the details of employment. Please ensure that to avail this facility, you have to be nominated by one of the TAPASIANS.

Needless to say, people across the world need to build relationship. The need for Matrimonial section was requested by our well wishers and members. Look at the details of proposals that might be interesting for you. The facility can be availed by paying hardly few hundred rupees.

Intentions need to be supported by economical support. This support comes from business people and well wishers. We have dedicated one section of our website where the Business proposals can be published for a very nominal cost.

Above all, TAPAS serves as the platform for social interaction for the Pravasi Community and enables individuals and families to get together and make cultural exchanges and pass their traditions from generations to generations. In our efforts, we team with renowned organizations and as well plan to get engaged with authorities like the Embassy of India in respective countries.

Yes, this is the spirit which has guided us over till now and this would indeed be the spirit that would lead us over many more decades to come. We welcome you all to be “with TAPAS, hand-in-hand, generations to generations”.

We the new generation wanted citizens of Taliparamba known for Peace, Education and prosperity. Being today’s situation is really alarming where both political and religious fundamentalist are becoming a threat for the development of Taliparamba, it is highly important to form a society which can help the community by providing right direction.

Suburbs of Taliparamba

The suburbs on the north and west of Taliparamba are usually called Taliparamba West because the national highway bends westwards making the northern villages part of the western road. Taliparamba South is not a commonly used term because Dharmasala, Kannur has become a place of its own significance. Taliparamba East is a term used to describe a number of hamlets on the east of Taliparamba. Regards, Prof. Manna (talk) 01:23, 4 January 2016 (UTC)

Splitting proposal

I propose that the article be split into two articles, one about the town/municipality, which can remain here as Taliparamba, and one about the taluk named after the town, which could be created as a new article, Taliparamba taluk. Having separate articles for taluk and taluk headquarters seems like the convention, and the current situation of the article results in some confusion when reading.
