"This article's plot summary may be too long or excessively detailed."

I didn't write this summary, but fail to see how it could be considered too long or detailed. I've recently watched the film, and I think the article summarises the plot very well indeed. After several years an editor removed the tag[1] claiming "plot is fine." The plot section was really not the best, this was a classic mistake of confusing "fine" "adequate" or "good enough" with actually good quality. Ideally this is supposed to be a Plot summary good enough to be included in an encyclopedia, not merely the bare minimum needed for readers to understand the premise. The Plot section was certainly not good enough to reach that higher standard and badly in need of improvement.

WP:FILMPLOT recommends 400-700 words. The plot section was clearly within that limit, length was not the problem. "may be too long or excessively detailed" The detail was the problem, more specificallythe commentary, and speculation about the characters motivations and state of mind was the problem. That's not plot, that is opinion which is subjective and original research.

I have trimmed back the plot section. (See also WP:STREAMLINE.) More detail about what actually happens could be added but please do not add commentary again. If you can find reliable sources that provide commentary then it could be added to the Reception section, but do not make up your own commentary. -- 109.79.67.41 (talk) 15:57, 11 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
