Citations[edit]

This article has a lot of good information, but needs citations and a reference section.Nightngle 15:59, 1 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Misc.[edit]

Hey, this page was added by Zen Mountain Monastery (http://www.mro.org/zmm) from our own website. So there is no copyright problem. Thanks

Please read the rules regarding copyrights - unless you can submit the information as one of the open copyrights that anyone can use in anyway they wish, then you really can't use the information. The page is actually a wikipedia page and doesn't "belong" to any one member, even if that article is about the person or group. Let me know if you have further questions.Nightngle 15:59, 1 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This article could indeed do with some expansion. --DanielCD 16:03, 2 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

GA failure[edit]

Prose - the introduction is too detailed, and talks about things that are best left to later in the article.

Citations - The citation format is completely wrong - references should follow one of the accepted citation formats, not a bunch of authors and pages, then followed by a list of references in a separate section, and then a bibliography.

MOS - This is a Japanese subject, and not only is the article titling wrong per the Japanese MOS, there are no kanji given for names and no italicization of Japanese terms.

Organization is poor - There are pictures of people who have nothing substantial to do with a section in the section. There is extensive material about other people in the bio section - is the article about the person or his school? They are separate.

In short, still a lot of work to do. Try for a lower class first.MSJapan (talk) 04:06, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Concerning citations, see WP:CITE#Shortened_notes. If you are familiar with kanji, why not add the kanji names? By the way, how are pictures of his father and teacher not related to the subject? Both men gave him dharma transmission. Some of your criticism is duly noted, and some is not. Thanks anyway. (Mind meal (talk) 22:42, 2 May 2008 (UTC))[reply]

Mention of specific person[edit]

I changed diff my own edit on Maezumi's affairs. The interview with his daughter discloses tragedy, and yet also love and wisdom. Personally, I was touched by it, and it kept me thinking over the night. There's already been so much tragedy, I think (feel); no need to further impair people, by specifically naming them. Readers who are interested can follow the link to the interview, or read the account Dale S. Wright wrote, which is clear, but also factual and balanced.
