Merge with Tacheometry[edit]

You agree but the merge tag you added identifies an entirely different pair of articles to be merged. Tacheometry and tachymeter contain duplicate information. Merge Tachymeter scale[edit]

A previous suggestion to merge with Tacheometry seems to have failed for lack of interest. Information in Tachymeter scale seems to be duplicated here, maybe that article could be merged into the Watches section? At least for a start.... -- David Spalding (☎ ✉ ✍) 00:47, 19 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Disagree-- Two halves of article are completely unrelated. Split article into Tachymeter(Surveying) and Tachymeter(Watches). Create disambiguation page. Twredfish (talk) 20:31, 28 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Something must be done-- Both views are valid. As it stands now, there is duplicated information, which is not good. I will go ahead with the split, which makes interwiki links more logical. -- Egil (talk) 07:41, 6 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

French page[edit]

Just so you know, I don't know how wikipedia links different language articles together but the French link points to "Compte-tours" witch is tachometer and not tachymeter. Tachéomètre is the right french word for tachymeter IMO but that page on wikipedia is not about the one on watches but only about the Total station used to calculates angles/distances.
