Actor section

Sydney Pollack actually plays Dustin Hoffman's agent in the movie Tootsie. This wasn't listed, so I added it under the ACTOR section. - 38.118.23.100 20:54, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

Faulty link

I am not sure how to fix this problem. The Movie listed as "Castle Keep" is pointed at a song instead.

Children

Children's ages

Shouldn't the Children's ages be by the year they were born and not their current age? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.116.248.237 (talk) 02:15, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

Which one died?

"Pollack was married to Claire Griswold, a former student of his, from 1958 until his death; they had three children, Rachel Pollack, Rebecca Pollack and Steven Pollack, who died in a plane crash in 1993." which child died? The last one? All three? Needs to be made more clear. SGGH speak! 11:12, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

Not important enough for the front page?

How is this so? He was an accomplished man in the entertainment industry, so how does his death not meet the standards for front page headlines? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.71.245.81 (talk) 12:44, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

Please see criterion number six for adding to ITN. Nufy8 (talk) 15:19, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

Parents and ethnicity

His parents were not Jewish immigrants; they were both born in the US. All of his grandparents were immigrants. Questors (talk) 17:52, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

Verifiable source for that? IP4240207xx (talk) 20:23, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

Could try the book World Film Directors, as cited in this article Times Obituary which mentions his parents are first generation Russian - Americans. Depending on Pollack's definition of that term, his parents were either born in Russia & emigrated to the U.S. or born in the U.S. to Russian parents. Unfortunately I don't have a copy of the aforementioned book. Hagi2000 (talk) 20:42, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
