Whoever is going through the Sydney suburbs pages and doing up the galleries with "Wikitable" formatting, good on yer!! Didn't know this feature existed and I am applying the code to some of the galleries I have put on other pages. It converts the thumbnails into a quite adequate-looking photo for viewers who don't want the full version but who are just browsing .Thanks indeed. MichaelGG May 4 2007

"Due to its location, Surry Hills has become one of the most expensive suburbs in Sydney." - Really? As a Sydneysider, I find this hard to believe. The Slurry is hardly a Vaucluse. It's full of pubs and little flats and therefore packed with young people/singles. This line makes it out to be Beverley Hills. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.241.51.44 (talk) 12:40, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

External link to DoS[edit]

Hi All,
I've just placed an external link to the Dictionary of Sydney's article about surry hills (the article, info-page, and also the demographics). The diff is here. Now, I must point out that until recently I worked at the Dictionary so there's a fairly major CoI declaration, but I'm also sure that on balance our article on WP is well served by having a link out to the official encyclopedia of Sydney as a pointer for our readers. Tell me what you think.

Duplicate images and wrongly placed images[edit]

I have removed the image [The Clock Hotel, Crown Street] as this is already in the infobox. This image was placed in the article thrice so I had to remove it twice. Also the image of Rose Terrace is not in Surry Hills. I have checked its location in the street directory and it is of another suburb. I have seen this place whilst driving past and know that this is not Surry Hills. It also makes me wonder if some of the other images in this article are correctly placed. ***Adam*** 02:28, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

Spelling[edit]

Do any etymological historians want to add a section on why it is spelled "Surry" instead of "Surrey" like the ones it was named after? 122.109.64.112 (talk) 13:13, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
