Simultaneous Article Creation

At the same time as the Summer Wars article that is presently up was being created, I was also at work on a version. I would like to try and compare work with the present version, but I am unsure as to how to post my version for comparison. As I already have a complete article, with additional detail that is not presented in the presently uploaded version, I would appreciate it if there were a way for my work to not go to waste. Thanks for responding. Yes, my version is available on my sandbox for checking. I have already begun integrating the information into your version of the article, but I'll hold off for the moment so you can check out what I did. Would you like to collaborate on this article? I feel sure that if we work together, we can get this to B-class or higher in no time.

Good. Nice work on the additional box office and Locarno data. I didn't spot those things on my version. However, I would like to integrate the section about the animators in the Production section. I wrote the existing version on my Sandbox, and if I can find sources other than ANN Encyclopedia, I want to add it to the main article. I assume the reason you did not add it was due to the lack of cited sources, which I understand. Nonetheless, it is relevant information of the same caliber as listing animators on the Disney Feature Animation film articles, so including it is important. Finally, I want to try and get some of the quotes from The Japan Times review back in regarding the film's actual artistic merit as a movie. I consider these quotes more relevant in terms of evaluating the film's quality than the more theoretical and hypothetical quotes you chose to include, since they directly describe the contributions to the movie by the director, writer, and animators, as well as identifying the contemporary relevance of the work. I am basing this assessment off of the quotations used in other articles dealing with film. Perhaps a combination of quotations would be the best way to go. Let me know what you think. Twitch Film as reliable source

I noticed the addition of two reviews from Twitch Film and was wondering if it falls (or does not fall) into the category of self-published sources. The only claim of expertise that I can find on creator Todd Brown is his involvement with a mini studio company. Both have been mentioned in The Times, but I haven't been able to find much more from major news sources. Even if Todd Brown can then be considered an expert on the subject, I haven't been able to find any claims to notability for Guillem Rosset, the second reviewer, so I'm not sure that review can be included. I think it is probably okay, given that anime-related articles (including those of Good status) regularly include reviews from prolific internet sources. For example, Anime New Network is cited repeatedly for reviews, even though the reviewers themselves have no outstanding personal credentials besides working for the website. In the case of Twitch Film, as you've noted the site has been mentioned in The Times, and is cited on a weekly basis on IMDb and other movie resources. In my personal experience as a film student, it is well known as a source for festival reviews and coverage of independent or foreign films, and is sometimes cited in class by my professors as a reliable source. This is not a blog we are considering, but a used and respected web resource for film. The website itself is the source of notability, more so than the reviewers who work for / own it. Given that a reviewer himself / herself need not be necessarily famous to be cited, but merely work for a notable source publication, I would argue that the Twitch Film reviews qualify for reliability and notability. I am of course open to further discussion, and as the Guillem Rosset review is somewhat redundant in that is adds relatively little that has not been stated elsewhere, a good case for a lack of notability would convince me to fully support its removal. - LainEverliving LainEverloving (talk) 23:55, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
