Notability[edit]

Keep: Information on Sukey (albeit more) is needed by the public. As can be seen from the various media sources that have reported on it, it is something of rising importance globally. --Gausie (talk) 14:31, 11 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"When evaluating the notability of organizations, please consider whether it has had any significant or demonstrable effects on culture, society, entertainment, athletics, economies, history, literature, science, or education. - The Guardian (UK) article "inside the anti-kettling HQ" reports that Sukey played a part in the effectiveness of the UK protest on January 29th 2011 outside the Egyptian Embassy. The Business Day (South Africa) article reports similar and also conjectures that, had it been available at the time, the Sukey service would probably have changed the way in which South African political change took place. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.24.43.252 (talk) 09:55, 17 March 2011 (UTC) [reply]

Deletion tag[edit]

I created this article, and I disagree with the suggestion of deleting it. This is an article on an organization, but at the same time on a technique of organizing people. It's notability is based on the considerable interest it has received in the press, though somebody has just deleted several of the references which recorded that fact. Beyond that, it is interesting because of its revolutionary new ideas, which makes it worth writing about. And since it is topical - it relates to things which are in the news every day at the moment in Britain - people are going to be looking for information. This article is NOT promotional: I have no interest in this organization other than that of a newspaper reader who wants to know more. --Doric Loon (talk) 20:27, 31 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm. I'm not entirely convinced it's notable, but the promotion problems were easy enough to fix, so I've removed the speedy (and readded some of the sources that an IP editor removed without explanation). Alzarian16 (talk) 13:04, 1 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
