Both the List of rivers of South Africa and the article Vaal Barrage (to say nothing of Google Maps) spell the name of this river "Suikerbosrant". Should this article be moved, or should the spelling be changed to "Suikerbosrand" in those articles? Deor (talk) 17:44, 1 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Deor. It's spelt Suikerbosrand in all local signs; for instance: https://maps.app. goo.gl/fYAawtfejofhrN1u7
(I had to put a space in the link)
Rant and Rand (meaning ridge) are interchangeable but Rant is never really used.
The spelling should be changed in those articles as it is always referred to as Suikerbosrand. Thank you, Maqdisi (talk) 01:56, 2 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
