Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedy deleted as being about a subject that was invented/coined/discovered by the article's creator or someone they know personally and for lack of asserted importance, because... (your reason here) --Hudec (talk) 14:50, 16 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The philosophical and ethical concept of structural evil needs to be defined to aid in its study and incorporated into Ethics' courses.

The structure of the article was hard to follow, especially the content in the paragraphs following the definition of structural evil. The article could benefit from a strong closing paragraph as well as additional information and elaboration on ideas and concepts from sources or specific individuals as mentioned. Talking about Rousseau dates the article information and that is fine, since more contemporary information on the views people have on the subject is given. Elaborate on Rousseau's ideas of structural evil - where did it come from? when did this idea come about? Was it only Rousseau at this time thinking that way? Nagle and Card -again needs to elaborate on ideas of structural evil, the origins of their thinking, more details on how they think, etc. --Bdevalk (talk) 06:00, 15 October 2016 (UTC)Bdevalk[reply]

I have added more depth to the lead section in this article about Structural Evil. Does it sound alright so far? Bdevalk (talk) 02:19, 29 October 2016 (UTC)Bdevalk[reply]

I think you have good, solid information for information regarding structural evil! However, I think you could add more information about Rousseau. For example, specify the Discourse on Inequality. Maybe add more information talking about each thinker you have in your article. Arapisar33 (talk) 17:17, 14 November 2016 (UTC)arapisar33[reply]

I have added a section for Early Thinkers and one for Modern Thinkers and have elaborated with more information on Rousseau, Nagel, Moe-Lobeda (and her novel on the topic). In addition I have added another section titled "Structural Evil in Western Society", as well as edited the Reference section as well as Notes sections. I also edited the lead section statement and the following paragraph and added a content section. Bdevalk (talk) 01:38, 26 November 2016 (UTC)Bdevalk[reply]
