Review of Article[edit]

I believe the greatest strength of this article is the detail at which each topic is discussed. While I think there are topics that deserve to be discussed in the article, given there is sufficient research to do so, I appreciate the depth at which the topics included are explored. In particular, I found the discussion on group behavior interesting, as I have not come across that in my review of our articles about lizards.

I believe the article would benefit from a discussion on parental care (egg guarding, site selection, feeding young, etc.). Currently, the discussion on mate selection is good, but it would provide novel information not yet discussed in the article.

Next, I believe the article could benefit from a discussion of the physiology of the lizard. This could include talking about the different sense organs, how thermoregulation occurs, or their circulatory system. The article discusses in depth the external appearance of the lizard and uses of external features, but does not go further than that in terms of physiology.

Lastly, the article does not explore the relationship between the skink and humans. This may include the incidence of interaction between the species and whether or not the species is harmful to people.

I would argue that this article is more than a stub. It contains a significant amount of information regarding the Stokes’s Skink and is very well written and organized. While it has content gaps, these are not significant enough to make it a Stub instead of a Start. Kellencking (talk) 02:22, 24 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
