Disambiguation and Neil Sedaka

Is there an objective reason for this article not being titled "Stairway to Heaven (Led Zeppelin song)"? It seems that this is taking automatic precedence over the Neil Sedaka song all the way to the point where it no longer has a parenthesis around it. I get that this is a much more fleshed out article than the one for Sedaka's song, but I'm wondering if the Led Zeppelin song had to pass some sort of objective criteria to get the main title.

This is also the name of a song by Pure Soul in 1996.Nikki Lee 1999 (talk) 04:24, 13 October 2016 (UTC)

Contradictory statement...

The following is contradictory and needs to be modified:

The band's final performance of the song was in Berlin on 7 July 1980, which was also their last concert until 10 December 2007 at London's O2 Arena; the version was the longest, lasting almost fifteen minutes, including a seven minute guitar solo.

They played the song at the O2 Arena in 2007, so...

1. Either they weren't actually Led Zeppelin then, because they didn't have Bonzo, in which case it shouldn't be stated that their last concert was on the 10th of December, 2007

...or...

2. The statement that the their final performance of the song was in Berlin on 7 July 1980 is incorrect.

I would update the article myself, but I don't know the consensus on whether the O2 concert counts as a Led Zeppelin concert or not, so I don't know which half of the contradiction to change. Can someone fix this please? FillsHerTease (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 15:28, 30 March 2018 (UTC)

OK, well, if no one has made an update in ... let's say ... about a week, then I will update the article myself. My thinking is that I will change it to say the last time the song was played with the original line-up was in 1980, but that they played it at the O2 concert as well, just so that all bases are covered. Speak now or forever hold your peace! FillsHerTease (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 10:49, 4 April 2018 (UTC)

This is yet to be resolved so I brought it back from the archive. I don't want to do the wrong thing here so can someone who is an expert on this page help me please? I have seen long arguments about topics such as whether Led Zeppelin are Hard Rock or not, so I don't want to start a war here, I just want to get this problem sorted out. I haven't even mentioned Live Aid, which also factors into this because they played Stairway that day and were billed as Led Zeppelin, so that must also be considered? Can someone help me to get this nailed down and finalised please? FillsHerTease (talk) 22:27, 22 May 2018 (UTC)

Close paraphrasing

I am concerned about the amount of close paraphrasing in this article, particularly in the "Writing and recording" section. Having prose interrupted by a series of random quotations disrupts the general flow to the layman reader, in my view, plus the amount of copied text is too much and is a borderline copyright violation. Does anyone else have any views on this? Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 09:00, 5 July 2018 (UTC)

It is commendable that the article recognizes the controversy over the claimed parallels between STH and Spirit's 'Taurus.'Dogru144 (talk) 18:04, 27 July 2022 (UTC)

The greatest radio airplay

To revisit an earlier discussion: yet it was the most played song. From the 1970s onward in the US the song was obligatory on major FM radio stations to be played at least once a day. It was obvious back then that it was to be played daily.Dogru144 (talk) 18:04, 27 July 2022 (UTC)
