The result of the move request was: This looks like an uncontroversial WP:MALPLACED request. St. John Township (disambiguation)St. John Township – Simple name. Fixer88 (talk) 18:39, 10 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • It's unclear whether this redirect correction here was correct, given that the dab page essentially has 1 bluelink. Neutral on the move. — Andy W. (talk) 21:18, 10 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speedy delete as {{db-dab}}. Pppery 22:49, 10 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support, although the other 3 St. Johns are merely mentions and with much less population the Missouri one occurs frequently in Google Books and the Kansas one is the county seat. Plus there's a very strong confusion possibility with all the other St. Johns Township with an s on the other dab page, @Fixer88: so leave ", Lake County, Indiana" for those looking for Lake County, Indiana. I personally would merge the two dabs. The difference between John and Johns in this context is liable not to be observed all the time. In ictu oculi (talk) 09:00, 11 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
We should not merge the two dabs for exactly the reason you stated: The difference between John and Johns in this context is liable not to be observed all the time. Keeping them on different pages helps draw attention to the small difference. Somebody typing in a search will not be likely to add or subtract an S. When they land on the dab page, they can find what they want quickly; they're not going to click on "St. Johns" by accident when it's "St. John" they want. — Gorthian (talk) 10:34, 11 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Pppery and Andy M. Wang: I forgot to add that I cleaned up both St. John Township (disambiguation) (this page) and St. Johns Township; the first now has four blue links and the second has six. — Gorthian (talk) 10:57, 11 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
