Sport in the People's Republic of ChinaSports in China — Sport is not political - the article is largely about recreation and amateur sport anyway. It is therefore unecessary to say that this is only "Sport in the PRC" as opposed to "Sport in the ROC". Even "China at the Olympics" is not named "PRC at the Olympics" - and the Olympics is often a political event. "Sport in Taiwan" is already a separate article. The new article would deal with only sports in mainland China. Colipon+(Talk) 18:20, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

Move it to Sports, the article is not written in Queen's English but is titled that way. SchmuckyTheCat (talk)
  • Oppose — If the argument here is about a Taiwan, that is easily resolved through creation and content splitting to Sport in Taiwan. Let's not fight a Chinese civil war over a Wikipedia article.

  • Oppose - Sports are Political, ROC competed as "China" in the 1950s in the Olympics. The old Sports in China article violates NPOV by implying Taiwan is not a part of China. T-1000 (talk) 03:42, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
  • Oppose sports are very political. Ever hear of pingpong diplomacy ? 76.66.192.144 (talk) 04:53, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
