Merge with Streptopelia?[edit]

Maybe merge with Streptopelia (since the most renowned bird taxonomy, eBird/Clements 2021, accept it as congeneric with Streptopelia. Maybe we can merge them? Vihaking277 (talk) 11:39, 27 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Vihaking277: As far as I am aware Wikipedia always used the IOC for bird taxonomy Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Birds/Archive_72#Is the IOC considered the supreme authority on Wikipedia for bird taxonomy?, So it depends on what the IOC position is.
