what happened?[edit]

Is this show canceled. whats going on. what was the reson for it being cancelled? this artical seems to lack that information 68.49.68.176 03:16, 22 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The TV series wasn't exactly canceled, it just ended. It was only meant to bridge Spider-Man (2002) and Spider-Man (2004), since the show was in 2003.--67.170.207.109 21:13, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The last episode made it clear it was going to be the final one, so it wasn't really cancelled Impendingdoom240 (talk) 13:51, 13 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Plot Summary[edit]

Someone added this to the main Spider-Man page. I removed it because it didn't belong there but maybe someone can make use of it here. -- HKMARKS 16:03, 1 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

In the Spider-Man: The New Animated Series, the series that is a sequel to Spider-Man, Peter attends university with Mary Jane Watson and Harry Osborn, who still hates Spider-Man, blaming him for his father's death (in the movie, Harry's father was the Green Goblin and he died when was impaled by his glider at the upper legs, killing him by giving him both a blood drain inside and a drug overdose). Peter also meets Indy, whom he starts dating and making Mary Jane Watson jealous, as she has feelings for Peter. In the season finale of the show, Spider-Man is hypntozied by the Gaines Twins to kill Kraven the Hunter when the wall-crawler believes Kraven killed Mary Jane. Spider-Man breaks out of the hypnotization, learning Kraven never did kill M.J. and the Gaines Twins kept Mary Jane hostage. Kraven is sent to jail and Spider-Man saves Mary Jane. Unfortunately, he is hypnotzied once again and is forced to push Indy off a roof, in which he does. New York asks Spider-Man to quit after what he did (no one knows he was hypntozied). He agreed himself as well but not before having the Twins accidentally killed in an explosion. He then quits, throwing his suit, encased in a briefcase, into the New York City river.

Is there going to be a second series?[edit]

I heard a rumor that there was going to be a second series with Doctor Octopus in it.

Well, there is going to be The Spectacular Spider-Man in 2008. --67.170.207.109 21:04, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Spidey animated.jpg[edit]

Image:Spidey animated.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 08:13, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Original air dates[edit]

  • Alright, Wikipedia says the TV series started August 22, 2003 and ended September 12, 2003. But in the Episode Guide, the episodes are out of order, and some of them aired in July. So it should say July 11, 2003 to September 12, 2003. And one other thing, how come some of the episodes have the same air date as another episode, so unless two episodes aired on one night then leave, but if not, then lets change it. --67.170.207.109 20:42, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    • Never mind, 2 episodes did air on Friday nights at 10pm and 10:30pm.
  • The dates and episode order and numbers are all messed up. The villain appearances are also messed up because of that, not to mention being so not complete. Hulu gives completely different air dates, but those could be wrong too. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.0.193.228 (talk) 06:55, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Kid friendly?[edit]

Extended content

This is the succuessor to the original 1994 series. It is also executive produced and written by the same person as the kid show. Is THIS a kid show? Because it was on MTV. I am saying this because I may buy season 1 and 2 for my son and daughter for Christmas. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Angry Dad (talkcontribs) 03:07, 6 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
