I have changed "...where it covers Anglo-Saxon and German sources in contrast to those from Scandinavia, which are termed North Germanic." to "...where it covers English and German sources in contrast to those from Scandinavia, which are termed North Germanic." as it is heavily biased to use German for sources from Germany and yet Anglo-Saxon for that from Germany. "English" (or "Englisc") was a term used during that era, firstly by the "Angles" and then by Angles, Saxons and Jutes as a whole. If everyone is so set on using anachronistic terms such as "Anglo-Saxons" then "German" should not be used as that has even less credibility in an area hardly unified by shared culture other than being "Germanic". If we are talking linguistically Old English, Old High German, Old Saxon et cetera should be used. Sigurd Dragon Slayer (talk) 10:53, 8 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
