Biased Much?[edit]

I think this page is seriously biased against North Korea. The description of the followers of the dictator as a cult seems to be a little bit off base as well. Sworded lion26 (talk) 11:15, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

English lyrics notes[edit]

Shouldn't the notes for the English translation of the lyrics just be incorporated into the translation itself? "Manse" should simply be translated into English in the lyrics, shouldn't it? The different transliterations of "Baekdu" should be accounted for in the transliterated lyrics section, and the alternative North Korean names for the Sea of Japan and the Yellow Sea should simply be omitted, and the usual English names should be used in the translation.

Lyrics and copyright[edit]

The lyrics for this article should be returned since the Copyright Law of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea states that:

"Article 32. A copyrighted work may be used without the permission of the copyright owner, in the following cases:
When a copyrighted work is reproduced or translated for use by an individual or within the family,
When a copyrighted work is reproduced for depositing, displaying, reading or lending in such places as library, archive, museum or memorial hall,
When a copyrighted work is copied, broadcast or adapted for school education,
When a copyrighted work needed for State management is copied, broadcast or used in compilation,
When a copyrighted work is broadcast or carried in newspapers or periodicals for the purpose of its introduction,
When a copyrighted work is quoted,
When a copyrighted work is performed free of charge,
When a copyrighted work in public places is copied, and
When a copyrighted work is sound-recorded or reproduced in Braille for blind people.

Also, copyright in the DPRK lasts for 50 years after the death of the author, not 70. Migs005 (talk) 11:52, 23 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is hosted in USA, not in the DPRK. In USA, the copyright expires 70 years after the death of the author, and USA has different rules for when you may use a copyrighted work. --Stefan2 (talk) 23:27, 27 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
