Hi, I work for Isis and noticed there's interest in expanding the current article to reflect Isis' recent announcements and company updates. Would it be useful to add more about the company's background and incorporate basic factual information about the CEO, company partnerships, availability and security? Hi Brian! Please be aware that editing your own company's page will be seen as a conflict of interest amongst Wikipedia editors. While I do agree that more information on the company would be useful (The page is rather sparse, after all), it might be better if you could post the information here so that it can be reviewed. Name changing to Softcard

Isis has announced that they are changing their name to Softcard. I can't find a detailed reference yet, but there is a brief announcement (via pop-up) at their web site. Updates to Softcard page

(Full disclosure: I’m a Softcard employee.) As Softcard has experienced a number of changes in recent years, we’re hoping to update our Wikipedia page with the latest facts and information. We propose making the following additions to the page and also included several new links to verify the information. We respectfully suggest that the article be revised to reflect these key points (with references included).

• February 27, 2012: Softcard announced that Chase, Capital One and Barclaycard have entered into agreements with Softcard enabling their cards to be placed into the Softcard Wallet.

• March 5, 2012: Softcard announced that VeriFone, Ingenico, ViVOtech and Equinox Payments would integrate and support the Softcard Application in current and future product lines.

• May 10, 2012: American Express and Softcard announced an agreement to make American Express’ U.S. Consumer, OPEN® Small Business and Serve Cards available in Softcard Mobile Wallet.

• July 31, 2012: Softcard announced that U.S. market leaders in retail fuel dispensers, Wayne, a GE Energy Business, and Gilbarco Veeder-Root, agreed to provide integrated support for the Softcard application.

• October 22, 2012: Softcard announced the availability of Softcard in Austin and Salt Lake City. Consumers were able to visit their AT&T, T-Mobile or Verizon retail location and select from nine Softcard Ready handsets, with an expected 11 additional handsets coming to market by year end.

• August 8, 2013: American Express and Softcard announced they would offer American Express Serve in Softcard as a part of a nationwide launch later that year, enabling Americans to tap and pay using their American Express Serve account.

• November 14, 2013: Softcard announced nationwide availability.

• December 12th, 2013: Wells Fargo & Company and Softcard announced the first phase of an agreement that allows Wells Fargo Visa consumer credit card holders to load their cards into Softcard.

• May 14, 2014: Softcard confirmed it is averaging 20K new users daily.

• September 9, 2014: Softcard CEO Michael Abbott announced it is actively working with Apple to enable Softcard on the iPhone in 2015 — using an integrated secure SIM-based hardware solution.

• October 1, 2014: THE SUBWAY restaurant chain announced the nationwide availability of contactless/NFC-based mobile payments in partnership with Softcard.

• October 28, 2014: Softcard announced McDonald’s customers can now tap to pay with Softcard.

Updates to Softcard

Hi, Tracey2626 here from Softcard. I’m following up on my recent post to request a few key updates to Softcard’s Wikipedia page.

On October 22, 2012, Softcard announced the availability of Softcard in two pilot markets – Austin and Salt Lake City. On August 8, 2013, American Express and Softcard announced they would offer American Express Serve in Softcard as part of the app’s upcoming nationwide launch. Softcard announced nationwide availability on November 14, 2013. Wells Fargo & Company and Softcard announced the ability of Wells Fargo Visa consumer credit cardholders to load their card into Softcard on December 12, 2013.

When Apple announced Apple Pay on September 9, 2014, Softcard CEO Michael Abbott announced Softcard is working with Apple to enable Softcard on the iPhone in 2015. SUBWAY announced nationwide availability of NFC-based mobile payments with Softcard on October 1, 2014 and Softcard announced a partnership with McDonald’s on October 28, 2014.
