Silver Monkeys?[edit]

"In the monoclinic form there are two crystallographically distinct silver monkeys with two and three near neighbour sulfur atoms."

I'm pretty sure "monkeys" is not the correct word to use here. I don't know what the correct word actually is, so I just deleted the entire phrase for now. If you do know what that sentence is supposed to mean, then you can restore the phrase if you wish (with the correct term, of course). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.29.155.57 (talk) 15:33, 7 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorted- with reference. For monkeys read atoms- vandalism!Axiosaurus (talk) 15:37, 12 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Note[edit]

2Ag (s) + H2 S (g) → Ag2 S (s) + H2 (g)

First sentence[edit]

This article begins with a self-referencing definition - "Silver sulfide is the sulfide of silver". It adds nothing to the article and needs to either be re-written or removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:407:C780:43D7:DCF3:D371:5061:C75D (talk) 08:13, 21 September 2019 (UTC)  Done. What was intended, perhaps, was that it is the only sulfide of Ag, vs say Cu which binds S with diverse stoichiometries.--Smokefoot (talk) 14:43, 21 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
