Why does it decompose in water considering that Si-F is stronger bond than Si-OH (or anything right)? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1017:B826:DC65:E98E:4B28:2DE5:EAD6 (talk) 12:07, 20 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I think it was someone's mistake. AXONOV (talk) 15:14, 25 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Unreliable[edit]

May 25, 2022, 13:26 - «rm "In the 80's" patent is unreliable and narrow sourcing»

@Smokefoot: It's reliable as long as statement is given in a proper WP:RSCONTEXT. I don't see any problems in upgrading this source really. See also Keep it, don't remove!

Patents are weak sources. Use [{WP:SECONDARY]] please.--Smokefoot (talk) 17:08, 25 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You may not use this as pretext for removal of anything. Just WP:TAG it to request better source or WP:FIXIT yourself. What I've mentioned is quite common fact. AXONOV (talk) 20:40, 25 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I've got an additional source stating that many groups explored silicon tetrafluoride as potential source for silicon production: [1]. AXONOV (talk) 20:44, 25 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
