When did the refurbishment begin?[edit]

The "refurbishment" parameter refers to the years they were refurbished between, not how many have been refurbished. Please tell me which year they started to refurbish the P2000s. Edgar Searle (talk) 00:34, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect information about service of the Expo line[edit]

They're assigned to Division 11 and operate the E Line when rolling stock availability from Division 14 is limited. Otherwise, P2000s operating on the E Line is no longer standard. Lars Smiley (talk) 15:52, 5 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Are there no good secondary sources about this train? Having a real struggle to find any - also, information differs about when they entered service. Metro has 1996 (which would make sense, 3 years from contract award) but article currently reads 2000... Turini2 (talk) 22:40, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Metro says 1996 but that has been lost in translation. The earliest documentation of P2000s being in service is the early 2000s while only carbody production was documented throughout the late '90s. More evidence points to their service in the 2000s over the '90s because the P2020s were documented on the C Line as late as 2002. It takes a 6 months to a few years of testing before a light rail vehicle can enter service depending on its process. Example: the P3010 took 2 years to enter service from when the first cars were constructed due to inauguration, clearance, and pre-revenue testing. @Lars Smiley Thanks - I found a source in the metro archives that indicates 2000 entry into service. Metro hasn't had good luck with ordering trains and them being late into service (these, AB P2550, CRRC HR4000...)! Thanks for your help. Turini2 (talk) 16:18, 11 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
