This page was entitled "Scissor kick" which was absurd since it was about the sidestroke and only incidentally mentioned the kick. But there is a much better page called "Side stroke" and this one really ought to be just deleted. I think. ;Bear 18:13, 2005 Jun 26 (UTC)

Better, move Side stroke to Sidestroke, which is the more common name as far as I'm aware. --Quuxplusone 23:04, 13 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I merged the articles. — Stevey7788 (talk) 01:57, 15 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry, but I cannot accept that anyone except you rigid, stoic wikipedians would specify whether they mean 'Sidestroke' or 'Side stroke' when they talk about this particular swimming style. --81.97.194.11 18:22, 7 December 2006 (UTC

Stroke not actually described.[edit]

This article doesn't actually get to describe the arm and leg movements in side stroke. I read it, wanting to check whether the way I swim this stroke was correct - but it shed no light at all. The article would be improved if some person who knows this information could please add it. Thank you. M.J.E. (talk) 10:59, 3 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
